General Information

Orlando Day Nursery serves children one-year to twelve-years of age. ODN is open Monday through Friday from 6:30 am to 6:00 pm.

Each day Orlando Day Nursery serves breakfast, lunch and two afternoon snacks. All meals meet and even exceed the federal food program’s nutritional standards. Menus are posted weekly so that parents will know what their children ate each day.

Orlando Day Nursery participates in the Florida Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten program. Children who are eligible for the VPK program may attend ODN from 8:30 to 12:30 at no cost to the parent VPK children are served breakfast and lunch as part of this program.

Orlando Day Nursery accepts School Readiness funded children (4C).

Holidays

Variations in holidays will occur from one year to the next, based on how the holiday actually falls on the calendar. Current year’s holidays are available on request and posted in the reception area. Generally, Orlando Day Nursery (ODN) is closed on the following 12 holidays:

• New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day
• Martin Luther King, Jr. Birthday
• President’s Day
• Memorial Day
• Independence Day
• Labor Day
• October – Teacher Workday
• Thanksgiving Day
• Friday after Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Eve and Christmas Day

VPK will follow the Orange County Public School Calendar.
